First day to carry
Today was the first day I had the opportunity to carry since receiving my LTC last week. I didn't go to a Wally World. No way I'm going near one (or a mall) on the day after Christmas. It felt, well, kind of weird to carry outside of my house. I know I was legal. I was comfortable. But going out for the first time was certainly different. Oh, I needed to pick up some snacks and beer so I went to an Albertsons. Thus ended my first walk.

Doncb - Congratulations on getting your LTC and your first carry.doncb wrote:Today was the first day I had the opportunity to carry since receiving my LTC last week. I didn't go to a Wally World. I also commend your good judgement to stay away from Wally World and shopping malls.

it should only get more comfortable! I got mine in mid November, and I was extremely nervous every time I went out. After three or four trips out I became increasingly more comfortable. Just keep your eyes out for 30.06 and don't worry about a thing, you are protected under law!! Literally no one even notices anyway, like literally no one. I've even had my shirt come up over my gun and STILL no one noticed. The next most nerve wracking thing is carrying through a gun buster sign. Obviously it is not applicable but you can't help but feel like everyone's eyes are on you, when in reality you are still just another person! enjoy your freedoms given to you by the great state of Texas and the US, provided by the lives of soldiers on foreign land!

Soon it will feel strange when ever you don't have it on you. You will forget your wallet but have your gun.
Gun control is like stopping drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to drive.

I went to Academy yesterday and even asked mrs jed why there was so many people there. Literally no parking and the store was elbow to elbow. What was I thinking?WildBill wrote:Doncb - Congratulations on getting your LTC and your first carry.doncb wrote:Today was the first day I had the opportunity to carry since receiving my LTC last week. I know what you mean. I forget to wear my watch and I feel naked, but I'll forget my wallet.Ed4032 wrote:Soon it will feel strange when ever you don't have it on you. You will forget your wallet but have your gun.
