recieved application finally.!!!

Post by stormbringerr »

well i got my application for chl today. i sent a request for an application on jury 3rd. the envelope they sent me is dated Aug 3rd. but i received it on August 10th. anyway they sent everything i need for the application but no pin # which im glad they didn't include that.i think you have to pay before you get a pin #. they even sent me a little booklet of TX concealed handgun laws..
i wanted the application so i could look at it first and take my time filling it out. this way when i take my test and the shooting test i will have all the answers already done.im just using this one for a rough draft.
they also sent me info of a place called fast where i can get electronic fingerprinting done.there is one near me and it only cost $10.00

i dont understand why it would take them over a month just to send an application. does anybody know why it would take this long? does the dps check out your name before they even send you an application? thanks for answers in advance. :???:

I hear that they are small staffed and overloaded. Congrats on getting your packet.

Yes, the "fast" place we went to is in the DPS office around the corner from the CHL office I mentioned in your other thread.
That ain't no earthquake, it's me!
