Better late than never?

Post by j_dock2 »

Hi folks - I hope you're all having a decent day.

Well... after perhaps too much deliberation I signed up for the Elgin CHL class (by the Bransfords) next saturday (Nov 8 2008)

Of course this falls after the election... and then after I get all my stuff together and send off the app, there could be a substantial wait.

I hope that either we get the "right" result in the election, or that the "Hope to redistribute your spare change" gang is too busy to get around to screwing up CHLs for a while.

:???: It's my own fault for waiting so long... I know. I know!

- J. D. who lives in Elgin and that's the only way I'd be able to make an 8 AM class, or I'd have signed up for the one this saturday given elsewhere

If only it were truly "spare change"!!! Unfortunately, it will go much deeper than that.... :mad5

Spare change is all we'll be left with.

So maybe it's "hope for spare change!" as opposed to them taking it ALL.

As a vaguely related aside - why is it that the left considers Robin Hood a hero? They see him as a "redistributor" but last I checked, he was armed, anti-government, and was returning tax money BACK to the people it was taken from!

Random thoughts before I go to vote early (but not often - sorry Barky) this morning.

Congratulations!

Just the mention of "Elgin" made my mouth start watering (kinda like Pavlov's Dog). I grew up in Austin and made many a trip to Elgin to buy sausage. Back then "Biggers" was the place to go. I guess its "Meyers" now.

Yummmmm!
