taking the class tomorrow

#1

Post by brad2501 »

Hey all, im new to the site and look foward to reading alot more on here as I wait to get my CHL.
I'll be taking the class tomorrow. Although im pretty inexperienced with handguns, I feel much better after doing some shooting at the range yesterday. I am a little worried about what guns they will have there for me to use since I dont have one of my own to bring. I rented a glock 19 yesterday, so hopefully they will have something similar available.
Class taken 12/6
Packet Sent 12/30
Processing Application: 2/6
Delay-- Instructor number didn't match with who the TR100 was assigned to.
4/20- Told by DPS that my 60 days restarted 3/21

Welcome to the forum. It has been a great source of information for me. That is very exciting that you are taking the class on Sat. Also good job on renting the 19 to practice with. I am sure there will be a 19 to rent or something very similar. Have fun at the class.

If there isn't a 19 available, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure someone there would let you borrow a different gun, and that way you could have a comparison. All semi-autos work about the same, so if your instructor is competent, you should have no issues handling anything there.

Oh, and good luck!!!

Just got back from the class. It was definitely a long day, but well worth it. Somebody had already rented the glock 19 but they had Sigma 9mm so i used that. Now i just need to fill out the application and send everything in and then the wait begins. In the meantime i'll have to decide on a handgun.

Congratulations! brad :clapping:

We are glad everything went well for you. This is the best place for new comers to CHL. Do not be afraid to ask any question that you have need of, there are some very good and understanding people here that are more than willing to help out the new people.
