They work great for OWB carry as you can cinch them up and the velcro works great when the belt is new, especially when you run the belt through the buckle. I don't like them for IWB as the J-hooks I use cause the belt to bend and the hooks slip. They are great range belts and OWB carry belts in my opinion but as you already know not for dress-up.
I wear an IWB holster, but not the tuckable kind with j-hooks (see pic below, it's the Comp-Tac Pro Undercover model) Do you think this would work ok with the belt I mentioned?

Clark, I just got one of those ballistic nylon jobs from Galco. It has made a huge difference in how my gun sits, and I carry IWB with a Sig P229 in an MTAC. The belt has not failed to please me, but I understand that it's new. I'm waiting to see how things progress with time. I already do see some slight peeling of the velcro receiver from repeated threading through my belt loops. You probably can't wear the belt with a tuxedo (well, I guess that depends on what even the tux is for), but it'll do in a pinch.
