Which pocket holster?

#1

Post by HOSSISFREE »

I'm considering getting a pocket holster for carrying my Kel-Tec P3AT when not wearing the Wranglers. Drawing, once again, on the vast experience and graciousness of the forum. Which pocket holster has worked well for those of you that carry a similar sized BUG?

When I used to carry a tiny semi auto in my pocket I used a Ron Graham pocket holster. I don't know if he makes the same one for your gun though.

It is very similar to the "Stingray" holster on this page:

With the square piece on the back it makes it very difficult if not impossible to see the shape of the pistol.

I made mine. Simple if you don't need beauty. One piece of suade leather cut square that will wrap around the barrel & cover the trigger guard. Used 2 layers of old mouse pad to fill the void & hold the square shape from trigger guard to end of barrel. Any heave appolstry needle & thread will work.

I have a "Pocket Grabber" by "Highnoon Holsters" I actually carry it in my back pocket when I wear jeans and a t-shirt. My Firestorm .380 is the gun I bought it for. So far I really like the setup.

Thanks for the responses folks! There seems to be sooooo many pocket holsters out there, narrowing it down is difficult. Appreciate the input.

I sold a bunch of Galco Pocket Holsters for Kel-Tecs at the Austin show last weekend. They're horsehide and nicely done. I just looked at the website and note that model isn't listed but I'll add that on today and the price will be the same.

DeSantis Nemesis.
The one made for mini-glocks works for a Kahr PM9, a P45, and a 3" 1911. Worked for my (departed) 340PD as well.
