It's a tough choice, but much depends on tactical advantage , or disadvantage, and timing. Are you steady enough to be sure you're going to get your gun out and shoot the perpetrators before they can kill the clerk and\/or shoot you?

Remember, people don't necessarily die immediately when shot. They could still get off a round or two and kill the clerk you are trying to protect. OTOH if you don't engage, they may just leave with the money doing no harm to anyone.

Can you live with yourself if the clerk is killed because you opened fire?

It's a tough choice requiring good judgement and steady nerves, as well as deadly accuracy. Ever been in a gunfight before? Think before you engage.

If I was not personally threatened then I would not engage. But personal choice for sure

If it were a questionable scenario as to whether or not deadly force could legally be used, then I would hesitate and see how it plays out. However, in this instance, I think it would be a no-doubter...

I wouldn't think of it as a "Batman-move" or being a vigilante, but rather an upstanding citizen protecting those who are unable (for whatever reason at the time) to protect themselves.

What would you want me to do if it was your wife, husband, etc.?

Bravo! I would pray that ArmyStrong and a few of you others would be in this store if it were my helpless loved ones inside.
