Well, I purchased a full size M&P in 357 Sig and should be picking it up later this week. Brass, bullets, and dies are in the mail and I picked up powder and primers locally. I can't wait to start loading and take her to the range. :
Now I just need to pick up a good belt and holster. Thanks again for the advice.

Check out CrossBreed holsters and gun belts. You can not go wrong.

I carry a Ruger SR9c and bought my holster from http://www.shtfgear.com/Holster-by-Make
Took a week to get it but is made very well IMO.
I adjusted the hooks once and have been carrying very comfortably. Only took a few hours for the leather to form to my hip and I can sit, drive, walk and hardly notice it. The kids don't even know when I have it on at the house which shows you how good it fits...well on me anyway...

Crossbreed or similar holster with a full sized m&p glock 1911 are very viable options even for a "small framed Guy" like myself. Just dress around theprotection tool of choice. I normally wear a 31-32 inch waist when carrying and a 30-31 inch waist when not carrying. It gives some additional room for the holster and firearm and is comfortable for me and my 5ft7in 145-155lb body. Paired with a loose tshirt or tucked in button front or Polo style shirt.
I prefer a close to body carry so I feel the firearm but arrange it in a manner where drawing and reholstering are not acrobatic/contortionistic in nature.
Chl class for me and wife=$225. Chl application fees =$280. Chl gear for 2=more $ the previous. Moving from sheep to sheepdog = priceless
5'11 at 165-170lbs, I pocket carry a LCP, but when I go somewhere I feel I really need protection I carry my SR9c IWB and may choose to carry the LCP as a back up. I rarely remember I have my LCP and get reminded by my gf when she lays against my right side. If I had a choice though, I'd definitely purchase and carry a Taurus Judge.
Hey, try this out. cantact the gun ranges in your area and find one that has test fire guns. Handle all you want, then choose one you want to try. You usually have to buy their ammo, but you can use it right then. Hope that helped..

Try before you buy is excellent advice. Even for guns.
One of my carry is a 3" 65 with a bobed hammer in a Stoner paddle with a vest , never have been hassled yet wearing it. I just bought Stoner's shoulder hostler which is a belly band that rides where a shoulder hostler rides and you just have to wear a tee-shirt over it. The verdict is still out but I use it for the first time Friday in Shreveport and I have to say it was comfortable. My wife said it only printed slightly but she saw me put it on. Hope this helps. I am a wheel gun nut myself.
