Wally Walk...Kinda

Post by Phoenix6410 »

Okay,
So I finally got my plastic in the mail Friday. :woohoo Spent the day Saturday at the mall, went to movie and in and out of several shops. I carry a CZ 75 .40 in an IWB, button up shirt untucked. Was nervous about being made for about the first thirty minutes, but after a little while it just started to feel natural.
Just curious, if anyone else carries the CZ, and if so what concealment methods you use? Thanks!

Welcome! Your nervousness will fade with each month. I used to constantly worry about printing and shirt showing the mag when bending over. Eventually I realized concealed means concealed and others aren't "checking" you for a print or bump, they never even notice or think to do so.
I have seen one other person with a CZ. He carried IWB (in waistband) at 3:00 with a Galco.

I carried both the CZ 75 and the RAMI. CZ makes a great pistol. However, I now carry a G26 exclusivly due to the CZs first shot being a rather stout double action. I enjoy shooting the CZs. I have a Cadet Kit for the 75 and it is my favorite 22 l.r. pistol. By the way the Cadet Kit will also fit the RAMI. I carried the CZs in a Crossbreed Super Tuck. Welcome to CC and the forum.

words of gun wisdom
I make a quote from Massad Ayoob
“The power of a gun is never ignored, no matter how accustomed one becomes to the weight on his hip. A man carrying a gun for the first time is acutely, even uncomfortable aware of its presents. After a time, he ceases to notice both the weight and the responsibility not because he has forgot then them but because they have both assimilated into his bearing and demeanor”
From his book “in gravest extreme” chapter 11 under discretion
Some parents say it is toy guns that make boys warlike. But give a boy a rubber duck and he will seize its neck like the butt of a pistol and shout "Bang!"......George Will

Let me rephrase, it became less noticable the longer I carried it. While there is nothing "natural" about carrying a firearm, I hate to say but this day in age it has become increasing necessary. I live in a pretty quiet part of town, but work in a very bad part of Houston. I am blessed to work for a great man who helped both my wife and myself obtain our CHL. Being former military, I was already familiar with handling and carrying a sidearm, just not concealed.

Don't have a CZ, but have heard nothing but good things about their firearms. I'd love to pick up a CZ75 someday.
