Got a letter about my app./now worried about my status?

#1

Post by jbergerud »

Hey guys, I recently got a letter stating that TX couldn't proceed with my app. (it came about 4 weeks after sending in package) until I sent them a birth cert. (I was born in Vietnam)... so, last Mon. I sent a copy of my birth cert. with the letter that asked for it.

But now when I recently logged on to the TX CHL website to track the status of my CHL application (which obviously must be in their system now, since they knew enough to know that I wasn't born in the US), it stated that: "No application or license/certificate active"...

I was just curious as to why this was? Was my application denied for some reason?

You have done well. Welcome aboard & it should not be too long before they finish your process. Folks not born in the US seem to have a few delays. You are on the right track now.

Because my app. package was "missing information" (they received my app. on 04/06 but didn't get my birth cert. until 05/03) they're now "starting the processing of my completed application."

Which means it can take up to another "60 days to process."
