Hello everyone quick question does anyone carry in their company truck and job site? If so how did you talk your boss into letting you carry?

Does your employer have a written policy prohibiting licensed concealed carry? Has he/she informed you that it is against company policy? Is the construction site on an already restricted area (existing-operational school, federal property)? If not, may legally carry. Concealed means concealed! I would thouroughly review your HR policies/procedures and NOT ASK! If you ask and he/she says no, you have been duly notified and may not carry. If you policies don't specify then you have a defense to prosecution if the boss later finds out that you carry and he/she objects. You were not duly notified. Keep it concealed.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

This is the gun policy I'm my handbook. possession, use, or sell a weapons firearms or explosive on work premises, while operating corporate machinery, equipment or vehicles for work related purposes or while engaging in corporate business off premises is fobidden except where expressley authorized by the corporation and permitted by state and local laws. this policy applies to all employees including but not limited to those who have a valid permit to carry a firearm.

For me, and I am not a lawyer, I would either get permission or not carry. The worse thing that can happen if you choose to carry is termination.

Might even be the best thing that could happen.

I would rather be terminated by an employer because I was carrying than terminated by a criminal because I wasn't
but that is a decision each person has to decide based on their circumstances.

True. But lot's of situations can come up where you get found out and terminated. Easy to get terminated without there's being a situation. Also note that when you get fired for carrying a gun, that's going to follow you to all your next job applications. When they ask "Why did he get fired?" "He was carrying a gun". This might not sit well with potential employers.

The risk is yours. You have to decide "Is it worth it?"

If you are that passionate about carrying at work you should start looking for a job that condones it.

If the company is that passionate about prohibiting guns at work they should give 30.06 notice to prohibit it.

I'm sure if it was brought to their attention they would. Many companies aren't aware of 30.06.
My point was if you think you are going to be fired if you're found out then find a job that removes that stress from your everyday life.

I think they might let me. The owner of the company is pro gun. Hell he goes hunting every weekend and my HR lady is a fellow chl holder as well but I'm not sure how they feel about one of their technicians packing a .45 around the city In one of their trucks.
