I have to agree here. If I have to point my gun at someone its not to 'scare' them. Its a LAST resort and things are bad. Infact I would not feel safe carrying a gun with a blank round or an empty chamber.
Don't overlook the fact that one blank round means one less live round in your load. You could find yourself fatally embarrassed by being one live round short.

We were told by our sargent to fire at least three rounds and then shout Dừng lại three times.

It worked more often than not.
