I will be starting employment where I must have a shirt that is tucked in. For awhile I've used a standard in-waist holster that clips onto the outside of my belt from inside; however this is now a no-go. Can anyone direct me to the right place to look for a solution? I was taking a look at Supertucks and it seems that those still have a clip that comes out and over the waistline / belt.

The question is, from any of your experience what carry options / holsters do I have and can you direct me to a good outlet? Even if it is online.

You can get the Supertuck with the velcro clip option if you want to be more discreet. That is what I have and you'd never know I was wearing it even when I tuck my shirt in. If you go this route, you'll need to get a velcro lined belt. Crossbreed sells one, which is what i have, or Beltman is also a good one that has the velcro option.

If you want to tuck and not have any visible clips on the outside of the belt, the velcro clips are the only method I know of. The CompTac MTAC holster is similar to the Supertuck and also offers the velcro option.

I wear a Galco USA (horse hide, around $60). It allows the shirt tail to be tucked in and it conceals beautifully.
I have a Kahr P9.
The only thing that shows is a 1/4" square clip at the bottom of the belt. With a black belt even that disappears.

Minotaur MTAC from Comp-Tac is also available with the velcro type clips apparently.

Many of these holsters seem to be fitted for an auto-pistol, however I am carrying a revolver. Further, on sites when ordering the only model numbers it asks for are the auto-pistol models. Do these types of holsters cater to only auto-pistols?

Also, anyone out there utilize an ankle holster whom might be able to provide positive / negative feedback on them?

The SuperTuck does support some revolvers. I see S&W J-frame and the Ruger LCR in the list. You might send them an email to see if they have a mold for your particular model if you don't see it on the list.

Have you considered pocket carry? I carry a Taurus ultralite in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster I forget it is in my pocket. the pocket carry option works best with full cut jeans, "Dockers" or dress slacks. If you wear tight fitting Wranglers you may have a problem.

This is my suggestion also. Just take the end of the belt that wraps around over the velcro clips and they will disappear.

I carry a BHP in all clothing types with the Comp-Tac CTAC holster, with is a tuckable IWB, using velcro clips. It works very very well, and it is made for both autos and revolvers.
Comp-Tac generally has very fast turnaround, as in a few days. Right now they list production time as 5 days.

They do make the CTAC for Taurus 85 (snubnose J-frame sized) revolvers, so for $90 you would have it within a week.

Thanks for all the advice. The CompTac site actually has my Taurus model in the form so they should have a solution for me, even though the price is a stiff $80.

I tried lugging it around in my IWB holster in my pocket but proved to be slightly uncomfortable for daily carry; reminded me of those days in Iraq where I had the clunky Beretta M9 strapped to my outter thigh; could never make it sit comfortably. I'll be attempting the IWB Tuck and perhaps an ankle holster, however seeing as how much these new Khakis rise up the ankle in different positions that may not be an option depending on where and how it sits.

If anything it's nice to explore the different carry options so I can be a bit more versatile.

I visited 4 churches in 4 cities from in Central and North Texas/ Panhandle and Abilene in the last 2 weeks, a Comp-Tac belt with Velcro sewn in and the velcro clips ... Other CHLs/Deacons/Pastors at those churches didn't even notice it until I almost had to unbuckle my belt to show them the clips..

Ankle carry with a Smith & Wesson 340PD, 442, 642 or similar is very comfortable (basically unnoticeable) if you get a well designed holster. The heavier 640 is noticeable but still comfortable.

I'd recommend a holster that is a similar height all the way around and hugs your entire ankle (as opposed to one with a strap that goes around your ankle). I've seen them padded on the inside, too. The most comfortable one (sorry - I don't have a link or a brand) actually secured the firearm in an elastic pouch with the handle still accessible, so almost any revolver would fit. It wasn't easy to re-holster, but that's not a huge concern for ankle carry.

Ankle carry is better than nothing, but not as accessible as WB or pocket. There are some situations where ankle carriers can't draw while others can. It might be a worthy compromise if the decision is keeping your new job or not.

I too am new to the concealed carry family. We must wear our shirts tucked in as well. I have tried the ankle holster and it works well but decided to go with the IWB holster as I had read much about it. Shirt did not tuck in as well as I wanted so did some more research and decided to just go with a regular (second) belt under the pants. Used the IWB holster there and problem solved. The other CCL folks in the office even wondered why I was not carrying. No evidence of the holster or gun. Might work for you also. And our boss does allow concealed carry so no issues with that.
