Chl course expiration?

I took my CHL course in Sept. 2011. Due to unforseen expenses popping up, I had to postpone applying for the license. How long do I have to apply, or am I already too late?

I missed that this question was posted in "New to CHL?" I just took my renewal class from Charles a couple of weeks ago. That's why six months stuck in my head. It on the written test.Charles L.
