Newbie here. Just stated the process and received notice that my prints were rejected. Frustrating to say the least, but nevertheless will reschedule. Are rejected prints normal? Also I'm taking the class this weekend.

I'm glad I found this forum, there is a plethora of knowledge here.

Welcome!

My wife literally has no fingerprints (practically none) - it's a heredity thing and failed her fingerprint scan twice. Usually after two failures DPS will forget about the prints and perform a "name search" for a background investigation. If you have good ridges on your fingers, then maybe the L1 tech was having a bad day.

I have heard that using lotion before doing prints helps get good result (don't know this personally though). Welcome to the forum. :thewave

When did you have your prints taken? Just wondering how long it took for DPS to receive them.

I took prints last Friday and received this email today, "We have received notification from the state or fbi that your fingerprints have been rejected.  Usually fingerprint rejection occurs because the fingerprint image did not provide enough detail for a fingerprint background check to be performed"

I'm scheduled for a follow up on Monday. I didn't know they ran prints without submitting the entire chl checklist items.

My wife tried lotion for two weeks before the second scan and there was zero improvement in the print quality.
