Probably a dumb question but...

So, I'm almost done with my CHL application however im stuck on criminal history. It says "Indicate all criminal history information regardless of the amount of time that has passed, including juvenile cases, any assaults of any level and disposition in any court, all charges that were dismissed, deferred adjudications, and all pending charges, whether or not you believe these are disqualifying", now does that include speeding tickets? If so I have about 3 (one was deferred, another somehow became an arrest warrant that I took care of upon finding it out, and the third and most recent I will be taking defensive driving for here soon), will any of those disqualify me, or do I even need to list those?

IANAL, but speeding tickets do not need to be listed.

Simple speeding tickets are class C misdemeanors and don't count. Don't list them.

No questions are dumb.
Speeding is Class C as stated above as long as nothing went to wreckless driving.
Dont list any traffic violations.

Thank God I didn't have to list traffic violations. Age 16 to 40 had more than I can remember.

The only reason to list a ticket is if you did not pay the fine or otherwise have it dismissed, and a warrant was issued and you arrested for FTA.
But I suppose even then it was the FTA and not the ticket.

I think the general rules is, if you were fingerprinted, list it.
Some exceptions may apply.

Generally speaking, wreckless driving is probably the best kind of driving there is.

Then again, never mess with a dude that has over 10,000 posts!

If you had more than you can remember, you should've had your license pulled.

No, I just can't remember that many years ago.

If its deferred it's deferred so there is no sense to bring it up. There red flag is felonies & domestic violence. So I would not mention it for if you do you will then be tracking down court documents & all that stuff. If you hesitate or don't think you can obtain a CHL because of past trouble I would not waste my time. The exception to the your driving record or tickets you should consider is if there are any DWI's. Any one convicted of DWI can't get a CHL unless it's been expunged

This is intriguing information coming from a brand new Forum member.
And the information is entirely incorrect.
At least read GC §411.171 through GC §411.172.
