Post by mikey1969 »

Hey guys ... looking to catch up with any fellow brits out there to share experiences with CHL applications and general shooting/range stuff. I have been in Houston now for 2.5 years and love it here ...... got the "gun bug" 10 months ago and its been a great ride thus far . Would love to see how my fellow brits have embraced good ole texas !!!!!

Hi Mikey,

I got my CHL almost 3 weeks ago. I've been carrying as much as I can since then, even taking it on a vacation to fredericksburg and Corpus Christi. I live in the DFW area and have been to a couple of different ranges, but my preference is to do some tactical competition shooting. Its challenging but fun.

Do you have your licence? My application went very smoothly. I have US citizenship for about 3 years now, don't know if that helped or not, but it was a very quick background check. you can see the timeline in my signature.

So, where in Britain did you come from? What drove you to Houston?

Feel free to ask me anything!
