I wanted to introduce myself as a new member of this forum. I am very excited to learn, and share my experiences. I recently got two new "best friends" my STI -Escort and my STI Electra. WOW. I learned with my S & W Shield, and love them all. My Honey taught me to shoot about 1and 1/2 year ago, and received my CHL in November,2012. I have always wanted to learn to shoot and protect myself and the ones that I love. needless to say, they call me "Annie Oakley". My first time to shoot was withmy 308 and was a 6"x6" steel plate at 500 yds. You can only imagine the thrillI got when I hear the ping, All the guys around me at the range were amazed, so I guess my fathers Gift of shooting was passed down to me. 
I really am a "newbe" and have so much to learn and am happy to be a member of this most respectable forum.
Being a texas girl, I feel the world is getting crazier and want to beable to protect myself. So much for now, as it is late and gotta get to sleep. until later Ya'll....Char

Its been a busy day, went shootin with Jeff ( my love) and tried to conceal carry my 6.8 but it just didn't fit in my purse !
