Hello Forum. I would like your inputs before sending in my renewal application. Here are the details. I took the renewal class in Sept 06. My license expired in Nov 06. I was on schedule to complete the application before my license expired but has several work/family/travel issues come up that have delayed me. I'd now like to catch up and get my licence before Nov 07. All my documents are signed/dated/notorized/prints taken in Sept 2006. Will I need to submit new documents w/ current dates, etc? or can I submit my packet with documents dated from Sept 2006?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum. I think you are too late, but we have some instructors that will be on and I postive they can give you the correct answer. I had in my head 6 months, but don't quote me on that.

You have 6 months after taking the renewal class to sumbit your TR100;
Texas Government Code;
H. Concealed Handgun
§ 411.185. RENEWAL. (a) To renew a license, a license
holder must:
(1) complete a continuing education course in handgun
proficiency under Section 411.188(c) not more than six months
before the date of application for renewal;
(2) obtain a handgun proficiency certificate under
Section 411.189 not more than six months before the date of
application for renewal;
You have 1 year after your license expires before you have to take the initial class again, so you can just take another renewal class and submit before November of this year.
