First Outing

No, it wasn't Walmart. I got my plastic yesterday and was itching to go somewhere, so we went out to eat at Fuddrucker's, followed by a stroll around Best Buy. Fuddrucker's didn't have any ammo to purchase, but we're talking serious multiple trips to the nacho cheese station, so I think that counts. There were no women and children screaming :willynilly: and no SWAT teams rappelling from the ceiling :coolgleamA: so I guess I did okay.

I will say that wearing my gun around the house for the last couple of months while waiting for the CHL has really gotten me comfortable with it. My wife didn't even know I was carrying today until we had left the restaurant.

So, I'll probably tackle Walmart tomorrow.

You were wise to carry your gun around the house while waiting on the plastic. It helps.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Nicely done! Particularly the no SWAT teams rappelling from the ceiling part. That's never a plus on the first CHL outing.

Yes, congrats. The first month is the hardest - I remember when I got mine in 1996 - I was always paranoid about printing and if anyone knew I had a gun on me.
