Sorry for my ingnorance of the law, but I was in the Navy and had a CHL from GA. During the move from GA and here I lost it. I don't know when it expired, but seem to remember it lasting 7 years. I got it in 2000, I believe.

Anyway, my question is: Do I have to take the complete course in TX or can I take a refresher course.

Also, does anyone know of a site where I can check to see if my CHL is expired?

To obtain a new Texas CHL one must take the initial course.

Gotcha! Thats what I was afraid of? Just thought I could maybe save some money.

I am taking the course this coming week.
Got my wife to go to the range with me and she dealt with it pretty well. Now I just got to get here to take the course........
