Where I cannot carry

#1

Post by DonFromTexas »

It might be someplace, but I cannot find it. I am looking for a list of businesses that forbid me to carry concealed. Does this exist anywhere?

Texas3006.com is one, not official, or necessarily complete.

There may be others.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

:iagree: That is just about it. Anytime we see one, we post it there. Even has a map.

There is no comprehensive list. Businesses who post 30.06 signs are not required to report that to any central organization who might then publish a database.

texas3006.com is a great start, but not a complete or 100% up to date list by any definition.

I'll be taking the class this weekend but holy smokes; red signs, blue signs, 30.06, 30.07, school activities off campus, 51% etc. I imagine I'll be taking good notes and asking questions.

Primary signs to look for besides the red 51%

WOW! That didn't take long to get that up. That's the first picture I've seen of the new signs. I still haven't seen them in real life yet.

Interesting point: Since they changed to the new sign already, which doesn't go into effect until Jan 1, these signs are non-enforceable by statute until 1/1/16.

Of course...tax dollars spent on signs that really are not needed anyway. It's a school, so carry is already prohibited, both open and concealed.

Actually, seeing those 30.06/30.07 signs is a relief. I clicked into this thread with a high degree of worry it might have to do with impractical techniques.
