Filed a TX DPS SWATting report...

I think we've arguably reached the point where a person with a social media account is more dangerous to civilization than a man with a gun. That is terrifying.
Re: Filed a TX DPS SWATting report...
According to the news there have not been any calls reported so I'm going to call bull on what this person claims he has done so far. And if he does go through with his plan to make calls he will likely get fined.AndyC wrote:Some guy on FB claims to have a group harassing gun-folks in Texas:
I called DPS and let the lady know the details - she seemed pretty interested in the guy, so we'll see what happens.

Now I regret disabling my completely dormant Facebook account. Almost.

Huh... I think he took it down. Either that or now you've gotta be his friend or something to see it.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

We reached that point a long time ago. The pen is mightier than the sword.FastCarry wrote:I think we've arguably reached the point where a person with a social media account is more dangerous to civilization than a man with a gun. That is terrifying.

The liberals are getting increasingly angry and hostile because they are losing the gun fight. I can only assume that next Everytown and Shannon Watts with MDA will encourage their followers to attack open carries just like that guy from Florida. And it is a false report and is going to get people killed for no reason. If you don't believe me then just go to huffpost or motherjones and check the comments on any gun article. Very very dangerous.

On opening his FB page, the first thing that pops up is Thank You Obama.......... so anything this person has to say after that becomes irrelevant to me in any manner.

I don't even think fining them is enough. It should be a felony with a 5 year minumum sentence and life in prison if their recklessness causes the open carrier to get shot and killed. I'm normally for lowering the penalty for many crimes but not this one.zero4o3 wrote:According to the news there have not been any calls reported so I'm going to call bull on what this person claims he has done so far. I'll take it a step further, that if it causes harm to anyone they should receive stiff punishment-life.amaly23 wrote:I don't even think fining them is enough. funny, he is not even in texas...but somehow feels he knows best for TEXANS.
i think local leo's are going to get real tired of bull calls real quick. then start having the DA go after people for making false reports.
he even looks like a real PEACH

if the call actually is considering swating it very well could be much more serious. if I recall a 5-6 years ago someone got 11 years for it. If they send a single officer to talk to you its likely to be less harsh of a punishment .amaly23 wrote:I don't even think fining them is enough. He should think about his own appearance when telling others to call the cops just because someone is wearing a certain item.powerboatr wrote:
