I open carried in the Lewisville location. Got a quick glance from the ticket taker and a couple teens. That was the extent of it, no bad reaction. As always, YMMVbowserb wrote:10-4. Took a chance. It has the Unlicensed weapon warning signs but no 30.06 or 30.07. Good news, although I rarely go to the movies anyway. Had to take grandchildren and their friends.Vol Texan wrote:I have been to the SMG in City Center many times. Have never seen a sign.bowserb wrote:Anyone know about SMG in Houston. Re: Movie Theaters
Another bad thing about going to the movies...before you even sit down your out 40 bucks or more for two people for tickets and snacks. We usually eat at another location before going to the theater but still get snacks.

We go to the cinamark in Teaxas City. I can't resist the movie theater popcorn and we bring in a bottled water apiece. 15 Bucks for the two of us tops.Take Down Sicko wrote:Another bad thing about going to the movies...before you even sit down your out 40 bucks or more for two people for tickets and snacks. We re-confirmed the Santikos Palladium in Katy last night with a showing of Star Trek. Nothing but 30.07 signs there.Soccerdad1995 wrote:Santikos Palladium in Katy (I haven't been to the other Houston Santikos location). This is now the only theater we go to. It's posted 30.07, but that's about as good as you are going to find.
I consider it irresponsible to go to a movie theater (or mall) unarmed.

They have had two gift card deals in the last 7 months where I bought a $25 gift card and got a $25 bonus gift card free. Then I use promo pricing and only pay $11 for two tickets.Take Down Sicko wrote:Thanks for the link on the movie deal.casp625 wrote:http://www.dealflicks.comTake Down Sicko wrote:Another bad thing about going to the movies...before you even sit down your out 40 bucks or more for two people for tickets and snacks. Re: Movie Theaters
If you live in Fort Worth or Lewisville area Coyote Drive In is great place to watch movies. All from the comfort of you cAR.
http://coyotedrive-in.com/
Depending on the time of year we either watch from inside the truck or throw a couple of chairs in the back.
Not posted and presumably it wouldn't apply since a drive in is in and off itself a giant parking lot.

Wow! That's just down the street from Joe T's, our absolute favorite restaurant. Eat dinner there, & go a few blocks to go to a drive inn! Thanks for the tip & link! Re: Movie Theaters
AMC Starplex in Lake Worth is (or was as of 2013) a nice theater with no signs to my knowledge (Texas3006 would seem to confirm). Best part is they have matinee pricing before 2 I believe, including weekends. $5 tickets and I can still afford popcorn.Kenneth77 wrote:All the ones around Ft worth and burleson are posted for both and all the ones that are around a 30-40 radius are also.

Re: Movie Theaters
Almost every theatre in NC didn't have a gun sign. I think this whole 06/07 has really bitten us in the butt in some cases.

I would be surprised if they are not posted given that it is strict corporate policy to prohibit weapons at any AMC theater, anywhere. Seems much more likely that some choose to "not see" the 30.06 and 30.07 signage as I stare at it at the ticket window every time I go and it is impossible to miss.
