My wife and I both have these cell phone cases, which we bought at Best Buy.
They have slots for ID/Credit Cards

If you do not have your license on your person, you are not exempt from PC 46.02, so it's essentially the same as not being licensed at all.

You could ask the head of campus police.
Worst case they will tell you it's required.
Best case is that they formulate a more flexible policy for campus employees.

I thought a cell phone would mess up the magnetic strip on credit cards, etc...
My LTC has a strip on the back.
????
Not sure, anyone know?

Do you carry the firearm in a holster?
Maybe something like this would work for you.

You might want to tell the officer very clearly (and move very slowly) that your CHL is inside your holster and you are NOT reaching for your weapon!wiz1997 wrote:Do you carry the firearm in a holster?

How about a picture of the DL and LTC on your smart phone, like insurance certificates are now?
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Yeah, tell him you know someone who worked in a building full of DoD Civilian Air Force types, all with clearances, and at least a couple times a year we had reports of items, to include purses, stolen out of desks.MommaBear wrote:OK, I think y'all are right. I'd never really thought about it before this morning, but I think I do need to have it on me (just in case).
I'm going to look into the phone cases. Also, maybe a small keychain/ID holder would work. I just don't want to have too much crap in my pockets. It's hard enough to carry IWB without putting keys and a phone and a wallet in my pockets too.
And No, my desk drawer is not locked. Unfortunately it isn't the kind that locks. I really wish it did. I asked my boss about it when I started working here and he acted like I must be a paranoid freak.
(Of course, I'm the one carrying a gun, so maybe I am a paranoid freak!!!)

I've never seen those before. That's pretty cool. I'm not, nor ever likely to be in the future, a runner; but I can see how those belts could be useful, including for travel when worn under a shirt. I'll bet that a little Seecamp semiauto or NAA mini-revolver will fit in the pouches of the Endurance or Adventure models of the belt.

This is what I was thinking. It might not completely satisfy the legal requirement to present a license when ID is required, but it might be sufficient to prevent trouble.

Indeed! I was getting a vehicle inspected this week when I realized I didn't have a current insurance card with me. I called my wife, she took a photo of the card and emailed it to me. I presented the photo of the card, and the inspector was satisfied.
I also do this with my mother's Medicare card. She can't drive, so I often chauffer her to doctor's appointments. I took photos of her ID and Medicare card. I've used the photos several times when I forgot to make sure she had them with her.

I cant stand big wallets especially in my back pocket. My solution was a slim wallet and I found mine on amazon for $20 bucks and has held up great over the past year. Really thin and sometimes I forget its even in my pocket.
