Tried an experiment last night
After reading some threads on some of the BB's I read, about what people carry on their person, I decided to try some things for myself.
My normal carry is:
One gun with one reload.
One pocket knife clipped in front pocket.
Cell Phone
Wallet
keys
Went to the Mall with my wife and daughter last night.
Here is what I carried:
Glock Model G-30 on right hip in RM Lowrider holster.
Glock Model G-26 under left arm in Kangaroo holster.
Kahr PM9 in Smartcarry.
Reload for each of these.
Two knives. (one clipped in each front pocket.)
Two flashlights.
Cell Phone
Keys
Checkbook
Wallet
I wore a plain ole dark blue, button down, short sleeve shirt, untucked.
As far as I could tell - no one had a clue.
I did feel like I was carrying around about 50 pounds of extra weight. All in all it wasn't THAT uncomfortable. Still I don't like to carry things in my pockets. It won't be necesary for me to do this again. Just a test.
Just did this to see if I could get away with it.
I guess it's true. You could paste a weapon to your forehead and most people would never know it.

When I wear my 5.11 vest to the range I tend to keep a lot on me.
-My USP45 on my hip, 2 reloads on my other hip
-More .45 mags in the vest pockets.
-Surefire light a vest pocket
-Spare handgun or 2 in the concealed vest pockets.
-2 x 30rd AR mags in the vest pockets
-AR in the car (or on my shoulder at the range)
-pocket knife(in pocket)
I often stop over at Walmart for ammo. It does feel a little awkward in places like Walmart, but the vest will hide almost anything.

Hey sensei, you're now a real "mall ninja".
The most I've carried at one time is:
45acp Kimber Eclipse Custom (Comptac C-Tac IWB)
45acp Kimber Ultra CDP (Galco Glove Ankle)
357 Magnum S&W 340PD (pocket)
Spyderco Police (RF pocket)
Surefire E2e (LF pocket)
(1) Speed strip for 340 (LF pocket)
(2) 8 round mags for the 1911's (Left hip mag holder)
I wasn't real comfortable, just wanted to see if I could do it. You're right sensei, a big weapon sign would probably go un-noticed.
Now the BIGGEST gun I have ever left home with (concealed) is a 6" S&W model 29 44mag. I carried it in a Bianchi vertical shoulder holster just like Sledgehammer.

You guys put me to shame. I carry my Kimber Compac w/ one reload & pepper all the time. Increased general threat level like post Rita, & I add a reload & pop the P32 in the back pocket w/ one reload for it. Man, I feel like I need to go buy another gun.
Do yall think so too

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I'm not afraid of the man with many arms...Charles L. Cotton wrote:I smell a new arms race brewing!![]()
Chas.
I am dreadfully fearful of the man with just one...
Me? I am a simple man...
One (1) G23, One (1) extra "normal" capacity mag, "Cricket" blade, One (1) handsfree bluetooth capable phone, with 911 on voice activated speed-dial...
And a partridge in a pear tree...(Its a seasonal thing)

Happy packing! errr, you know what I mean...

Stevie,
I agree....I usually have the handgun of the day with an extra mag or speed loader....and a freshly sharpened Benchmade. For some reason I enjoy carrying guns that are a pain to carry....it has been my old model 10 for the last week or so.....I don't care for mouse guns.

Sensei,
This should make you laugh.
I had the same thought one time, just wanted to see what I COULD carry.
I had a SIG P229 in an IWB holster, K-T P11 and OC spray in a butt pack, G33 and spare 15 rounder in the SmartCarry, a K-T P32 in one front pocket and an assited opening knife in the other one.
It was the only time in my life that a total stranger has noticed my butt pack and said anything. And he said,....... "Do you carry a gun in that thing?"
There was no printing or anything. He was just one of those 'curious talk to anybody' type of people.
I know you will want to know...... I said "yup" and walked off.
I have already decided not to give that answer again. It was probably not the right and smartest way to answer.
Of all days, who would have ever guessed?? Nobody else ever said anything that day. I know that "guy" didn't see anything. He just saw the butt pack and wanted to know.
