Finally!

Well, imagine my surprise when I logged into the DPS website a few minutes ago to find my status changed from "Processing Application" to "Application Completed - License issued or certificate active."

Let's see...

I took the class on Nov 5. Mailed the package to Austin on the 7th; they received it on the 9th. After a month, I got a page back to correct an address mistake. That same week my first fingerprint card came back. Mailed that stuff back, and got my PIN on December 21. My application status changed today, January 23.

Now let's see how long it takes them to mail it! :)

Good job. We celebrate w/ you. :hurry: When the plastic arrives what will you carry & what will be your carry criteria? 24-7 where legal I hope. :patriot:

Thank you sir!

My primary carry will be a Walther P99QA .40 in SmartCarry, everywhere legal. I attend ETBU but I live at home, so basically everywhere but school and other prohibited places.

I'm pretty stoked...I had resigned myself to seeing "Processing" forever.

Not to change subjects, but how do you like the QA trigger? I have an AB year model with the AS trigger and now that I've grow used to the Glock trigger, I'm wishing I had the QA trigger.

I personally like the QA trigger. I bought a QA (since that's all S&W is importing anymore) and my best friend ended up with an AS. Both of ours are 2004+ frames. I think the AS has merit, and I'd certainly be happy to own one, but for concealed carry I'm a big QA fan. I shoot better groups with it anyway, for some reason.

All in all, I think you're in better shape than I am. You can always go buy a new QA, but the AS will be pretty tough to come by in a year or so.

Thats a great turnaround!

I guess I still have to figure out the count on how many days that is, but it looks like right around 40 some odd days???

Better than some of the other horror stories we've been seeing lately...

Congratulations...
