Current Law Quick Reference Card???????
Moderators: carlson1, Charles L. Cotton
I've updated the booklet to the 2007 law changes. Please let me know if you find any errors.ttorion wrote:I've created a small booklet with the laws I feel would be handy to have at your fingertips for reference.
Print the two PDF files below. The second file is printed on the back of the 1st file. Cut on the lines indicated on the first page, assemble, and fold. Place one or two staples on the fold. When you're done you should have a 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" booklet.
On my printer the vertical cut line is not exactly in the center of the page so you may have to adjust that cut slightly.
The instructions that print are for my printer so you may have to do it slightly differently on your printer depending on how it feeds the paper.
When printing the PDF be sure to select "None" for Page Scaling.

Thanks for the nice comments.
I just uploaded a revision. There was nothing wrong with the wording of the original but I noticed the formatting shown for PC 46.035 (h-1) wasn't consistent with the way the official DPS publication showed it.
Also, I added a page break at SELECTED DEADLY FORCE STATUTES so it starts at a new page.
When you click on the original links you'll get the revised version.

No, I guess I just have too much time on my hands. I use a little program I bought several years ago called Clickbook to generate the booklet formatting. That is cool, do you work for a printing company?

Does the back have a list of places that are off limits?
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

I can't get the link to work.... when I click it, it goes to what looks like a Squatter Site. Anyplace else I can get it? Or is the link down?Lucky45 wrote:Here it is. You have to print it on double side of page and tri-fold.

Have fun.
Sorry about earlier link. Guess nobody likes Vista, uploads no good. Had to change format to PDF.
Sorry, but I'm very excited about this...
Thanks!

It was an idea for someone to make up there own and come up with their own idea. You know like a template. But guess no one can do that.

That's not a template, and not for the topic, that's a card to leave at someone's place of business stating a complaint, not a card showing the lawsTxBlonde wrote:It was an idea for someone to make up there own and come up with their own idea. You know like a template. But guess no one can do that.

Re: Current Law Quick Reference Card???????
Look I know what it is. I use thing like this all the time to come up with other ideas it is not hard. It is not now a free hand out and someone might have to come up with something on there own. I could make a quick reference card in no time. No sense in making one right now since laws are changing right now.
1. No Inside of Schools (This could change very soon)
2. No inside of Hospitals

FYI - Hospitals and Amusement Parks require 30.06 notification to be off-limits. See PC 46.035(i)TxBlonde wrote:Look I know what it is.
