Those signs are there to let you know that it's a felony as opposed to a misdemeanor for carrying an unlicensed handgun.Mike1951 wrote:That would be a TABC sign for businesses that sell alcohol for OFF premise consumption.Molon_labe wrote:Isn't there a deal that refers to the "unlicensed" carry of firearms similar to the 30-06, there is one posted at the Conoco near my house...I see that as a thumbs up to us CHL'ers
Next time I go by there I will get a closer look
So if your Conoco sells beer and wine, that is probably what they have.
Same sign is in all convenience stores.
It has no bearing on licensed carry.

I have not seen any signs at Amegy Bank in Friendswood.

Besides Prosperity Bank, another Chambers County bank is posted 30.06. East Chambers County Bank in Winnie, this is a branch bank for Anahuac National Bank.
Both are now listed on Texas State Rifle Association website. Nice people at the TSRA.
They keep a list of "Businesses Reported Prohibiting CHL"

Security Service Federal Credit Union is posted with a non-compliant 30.06 sign. The letters are no where near 1 inch in height.

First Bank of Conroe has some ghostbuster signs but nothing about 30.06. I can live with that.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.
