New Guy From Austin

Well i've been lurking for a few days and have been glued to the copious amounts of awesome info on the site! I registered because well, I plan on sticking around for a long while :) A little background, I am a Texas transplant from Indiana (but not a yankee!)...am a prior LEO, also prior active duty Air Force as a Security Forces member (LEO)...now back in the emergency medical field here in Austin. Must be the pretty lights. Thanks for a great site!

Howdy and welcome! What part of Austin and what is your preferred range? I'm thinking about taking my son to Austin Rifle Club this weekend... weather and health (mine - dang cold) permitting.

Thank you! I usually go up to Eagle Peak, its close and a nice range. I took my CHL course with Ross Bransford, and qualified at ARC. A decent range but the driveway is NOT car friendly by any means, so if I go, I have to take my truck. I have a few friends in the RR/Pflug area so every now and then we'll hit Red's as long as I can qualify for a small personal loan to afford it.

Is there anyone left in Indiana? Left thirty-one years ago but only got to Texas 12 years ago. Also ex-army (not retired). So where in IN is everyone from? For me, small town north of Anderson, Summitville.
