I will try to find a way to create more distance between myself and the BG, and be more aware of how my words could be preceived by the threatening party.
You can use language to create distance. Asking them "could you stay right there?" , rather that getting interogitory with them. Then you can escalate to telling them to "stop right there!".
I suggest direct verbal engagement. Predators expect their intended prey to be wary. They don't expect their mark to burst out with, "Yo, man, you got a dollar? I need to pay for this gas!"
Yep, that may reset their OODA loop. It may not stop encroachment, though.

The 'c' word is very commonly used in Britain and the Commonwealth as a ...well, almost as a term of endearment, bizarre though that might sound.
The 'n' word is commonly used in rap music as as a term of endearment. :smilelol5:

Heheh ...

It's almost Chabbat here and I'm gonna try not to post here and be a good boy, but just lemme say that I love Texas, and can't wait to move there! Sure, the death penalty sucks :deadhorse: but I need to look beyond that, and I can't wait to get there and maybe go shootin' with some of y'all.

Then head to your forty-ninth state with a friend o' mine, and my Ruger Alaskan on my hip, and .... hey ...

*thread warp*

What shall I call my Kimber? I need a name for it. It has to be a woman's name, 'cos I love women so much (a little too much..). Any suggestions?

the death penalty is for people exclusively just like the one's the OP ran into. some people didn't want to learn how to integrate into society, didn't want to not be scum, so off they go.
