Picture with the "GOV"

Post by RoundRock_Gun_Fan »

I read a post a while back on PDO about being in a location where VIP's showed up and the person was packingin the area. Well, I was at the Dennis Quaid charity golf tournament a couple of weekends ago here in Austin and had my P226 IWB on my right side about 3 o'clock when I saw a mess of golf carts come up. I thought it was kinda strange because there was nobody famous in the carts. Then I noticed most of them had the little ear pieces on and were kinda going throught he crowd. About that time the Gov came up in a cart with more men with ear pieces. When I realized who it was I just held my arm down around my waist to cover any bulge. I asked my wife to take our picture and was about to go around so he would be on the side away from my gun, but he just ran up to my stong side and put his arm around me. My wife took the picture with me holding my arm down between the two of us. I was a little nervous hoping he wouldn't feel my gun and sic his henchmen on me!!!! All in all it was a good day. I also got a picture with R. Lee Ermey from Full Metal Jacket and Mail Call and Too Tall Jones!

I have a few "Gov" stories from running races with him. We are actually fairly even when it comes to long distance running, but the man is a freaking moron and is totally unable to find his name on the results sheet when a race is over. This happened multiple times, and names were listed both alphabetically and in order of finishing time so you just had to know one of them.

His guards were in better shape than either of us (and we were running up to marathons). But I didn't have THIS pucker factor as I usually don't carry in races.
