I'll usually discuss my CHL if the topic arises, we need more citizens practiceing their right to carry. :thumbs2:

My boss (who lives and works in Denver) flubbed an email one day, and sent me (instead of one of his Denver buddies) info all about his new huntin' rifle.
10 seconds later he sent a "oops, ignore that". I sent a response telling him all about the AR15 I'd just finished building.
Since then, he's gone shooting with me after work when he's in town.

2-3 of my close coworkers know I've got a CHL pending. One of them took a CHL class a month ago and is waiting for her license too.
Another one (my immediate manager) shot a Glock 19 for the first time three weeks ago, and emailed me that night with "okay I want one, where should I go buy one at?"

After reading posts on this forum, I might have needed not to be so open about guns at work. But, Me and one of my coworkers talked each other into getting a CHL. We got two more "hooked" on the idea and they now have CHL's.

We pretty much keep to ourselves on "carry" conversations but I got to think that some other people know. At this point I'm not to worried since most of the store I work at, the employees are "gun-friendly". Two of my managers own AR15's so I doubt if I will get singled out anytime in the near future by an unknown "anti".

Still, I am going to try to get low-profile. Gotta be careful, managers can change fast.

I know a few co-workers goes hunting and know one that actually has a CHL. I found out a few years ago that my previous manager for this company owns a couple of handguns, but not sure of her CHL status. A co-worker that I work closely with is asking me about how to get his CHL, class length, what is discussed etc. I think he is planning to take the class.

My wife knows I carry. there are times when we are in a dark parking area she will put her arm around me and pat the gun and make some remark about how glad she is I have it. Typically she will ask which friend is by my side. ( Normally it is one of the H & K family).

My closest relatives know about my CHL, as do maybe one or two longtime friends. The guys at the local gun shop know, because I show my CHL in lieu of a background check when filling out the yellow sheet. That's it. No co-workers, neighbors, or strangers. Basically, I regard my CHL status as confidential and prefer to keep my sidearm concealed from knowledge as well as sight.

Need to know... I'll discuss 2A, firearms and CHL issues with a couple of my close friends (also CHL holders) and that's about it. On occasion, if a conversation comes up revolving around those topics I may entere the discussion, but almost invariably, do not reveal that I hold a CHL.
