Out. I think tucked-in would make drawing more difficult, but I guess not impossible. Belly band is on my "to-get" list, would make carrying the LCP under a dress shirt and tie much easier.

I use the Kangaroo AM for the .40S&W under a shirt & tie. Like a belly band, but with a shoulder strap.

It's just way, way too big to put in MY pocket, just for my own personal comfort, convenience and preference. I have a "thing" about having stuff in my pockets. It's just me. Belly band sounds like a much better solution.

me too , with the right pocket holster , its very comfortable .

heck , around the house , i don't even use a pocket holster as im not worried about printing .

this may be more than ya'll wanted to know , but late at night after my shower , i keep my LCP
in the pocket of my bathrobe ...you just never can be too safe .

With the Kel-Tec clip on my LCP, it is easy to carry IWB sans holster and if I am carrying the LCP that's generally how I carry it. It also stays where I want it in my pocket with no holster with the clip, and doesn't add the bulk of a pocket holster.

i have been considering one of those clips.

it sounds like it would keep the gun high up enough in the pocket ,
so that you don't have to dig too deep to reach it .

...just haven't made up my mind yet .

It's a reversible mod. Not too expensive. It does impede a "combat grip", you have to use your thumb to draw the gun out enough to get a finger around the grip, so I think it's kind of awkward int that way, but you can't beat the convenience of it!

that's how i in vision it , but i imagine just as with anything , you could get used to it .
and with daily practice , it can become routine to draw it that way .

to be clear , my primary firearm is my .45 tucked in my waistband at 3 o'clock .

the LCP is more or less a back up .

a good pair of running shoes are my last resort , or my first resort , depending on the situation .

The OP is a great example of 'out of sight, out of mind'. I would venture to guess that today's society has criminalized and demonized 'the gun' so much so that they also want to demonize or criminalize the person behind it. I think that's what mr.72 meant by his buddy saying "you don't look the type". What his buddy said wasn't out of the norm in today's outlook.

I carry a .45 Commander all the time. I don't look the type either. A 5'3" 110 female, who my husband says is 'cute' Do fit the profile of 'the type'? No. But I've figured out its a good thing. No one pegs little ol' me for packin' heat.
