In fact i just talked to that Atascocita branch manager and he has no clue , he just flatout said no handguns allowed . Quote: Since we serve alcohol , handguns should only be open carried. Hhahhhahaha, i told him that s not the case. ANyway i ll talk to Chris . IF any here is motivated , give him a call as well. LOL
I haven't reread this thread, but I thought that we discovered that you saw the TABC sign stating that unlicensed carry is prohibited. They are required to post those signs by TABC, essentially stating (to us) that they are not 51%. What do you hope to accomplish?

I agree. The issue is that the OP mistook the TABC sign for 30.06. The manager doesn't know what the heck he's talking about either. Let sleeping dogs lie.

Sounds like Chris just moved here from another state (maybe Virginia?), and believes that state's laws are universal.

Can an Admin.Mod post a "/Not" at the end of this threads title? Sure would slow down the bad info.

If there is a lesson to be learned:

Don't ask wait staff, asst managers, managers, area managers, district managers, or anyone else short of corporate. There's also a great likelihood of corporate staff being uninformed.

When I contacted Chili's corporate in 2003 about this issue, Bill Heinie, then Corporate Head of Security was the only person informed about proper signage.

Any answer you get from anyone else will be useless and usually wrong. They're going to give you the safe (for them), expedient answer, NO GUNS, that carries no liability for them or their jobs and that allows them to immediately get back to servicing their customers.

i just spoke with the manager and confirm what i saw. He insisted only police and LEOs are allowed. I didnt argue but he did sound anti.
Sounds like it's his decision and probably not corperates. Would be worth dropping a letter to Chili's corperate.
