texas1234 wrote:And to clarify my post doesnt mean that CHL's dont need to be proactive, I just dont believe in boycotts or threats, the only time I have ever seen a boycott really work was with the Dixie Chicks and they picked the wrong demographic at the absolute worst time to make a polar opposite public opinion that went against the grain of 90% of their fans. Each to their own! Basically the Dixie Chicks might as well been a grocery store that ran ads during primetime that stated everything in the store was food poisoned.
And it isnt a boycott or a threat. Its for information only. And the question of if you will visit that establishment again or not is called a question. If you choose to answer it is up to you.
Whats wrong with that. Is saying that you wont go to an establishment becuse they are illegally taking away your right to carry a bad thing.
I bet that most of you have, at some point in time, decided to not return to a particular establishment becuse of bad service or whatever. And you probably told your friend or neighbor about it.
Or mabey it was bad ammo and you told a few people that also decided not to buy it. Mabey that in turn makes the company make better ammo.
And boycotts dont work huh. Are you living in the real world???????????

This is what I am talking about here. So mabey the gunburger site isnt totally perfect. Sorry that I work EMS for a living and have very long and odd hours. I am trying to make the changes that need to be made. But I dont think its proper to hack away at something new. Take the same energy and effort to help make it better.

Texas1234: I am very open to suggestions on how to make my site (texas3006.com) more user friendly, especially for searching and finding entries. Several have mentioned they would like to be able to place pictures in the comments and I am currently working on that code as we speak, however if you have more suggestions please do tell me! :tiphat:

As for rather or not CHL's look at the site (either site mentioned in this thread) and actually make informed decisions on where they will spend their money, I actually have first hand knowledge that they do. Since I introduced the new question on new user registration for my site that asks where the person heard about texas3006.com, I have found out that CHL instructors are actually telling their classes about my site and asking them to sign up, which I find to be very cool! I have also found links to my site on a few gun range and CHL instructor websites. If you look at the additional comments on some entries you will find where several people have mentioned they bought their product/service elsewhere after finding that company listed on texas3006.com, including my new car purchase.

The more people that get informed and use the site, the better. I donated a whole bunch of my time and made the site free for a reason. "Grass roots" organizations always start small, but if we can grow the numbers (and the numbers have indeed grown, unique visitors to my site steadily increase as do new user registrations) we can indeed have an impact. Taco Cabana is one good example. We may never know if that company being at the top of my "Wall of Shame" had a hand in them taking down their 30.06 signs, but I do know that companies *hate* to have their name associated with negative comments on the internet. Some phone calls and emails later, and we won that battle :thumbs2:[/quote]

If you need to contact me please email me at:

I, personally, like the site.

Here's something you need to fix, though:

"Choose form the drop-down menu to find you city/state."

Probably should be:

"Choose from the drop-down menu to find your city/state."

I also thought it was a good idea. It's primitive, but still a good idea. Anti places are well documented on the Texas3006 site, but it would be nice to know pro-rkba places.
