I counted restaurant votes and I thought at first we had a tie, but I realized I missed one vote. It's 2 for The Cellar (Griffen, Pnctar), 1 for the defunct Texas Bar & Grill (Excaliber), and 4 for Mercado Juarez (C-dub, Geekwagun, Paw-Paw, Rexinthecity). Mercado Juarez it is!

They really want to. Its my weekend with them, so we should make it. It'll be a good test of public behavior around civilized adults again. They did really well last time, IMHO. They've been wearing me out abuot shooting the Mosin. I'll have the old "how to be a man" lecture and follow-up reinforcement of gun safety on Friday evening with them. One of my neighbors has expressed some interest in accompanying us, so there may be one or two additional guests along. We'll see how it goes. My wife said she would really like to come but has to work at her second job that day, so unless something changes, her pink .380 may not see much use......

As always, really looking forward to the shooting and the company!

I see a thread where our friends in San Antonio/Austin are trying to have a get together. I hope they have as good a time as we do!

Pretty much all of the above. I'm a big fan of the movie myself. Kids these days have a lot to learn about what responsibility and accountability really are. My advice to young men is pretty concise:

1. Never marry a woman you think you can live with. Marry the one you know you can't live without.

2. Make your mistakes. We all have (and still do..) Learn from them, don't repeat them, and carry on.

3. Take responsibility for both what you do and what you don't do. Actions and inactions have consequences that must be faced. One way or another.

4. Anytime you point a finger at someone else, there are several more fingers pointing right back at you.

5. If you want to be treated with respect and as an adult, then you had better act like one.

The list kinda goes on and on, and may vary as circumstances require it.

Maybe I'm a little old fashioned....... :patriot: :tiphat:

P.S.--I don't recall there being a bad word anywhere in the movie.....

I spoke with my son today and he's interested in Andy's offer for some skeet shooting learning. He'll be out there as a future CHL holder, and figured why not hang out for some shotgun lessons while he's at it, if the offer is still open. Is there anyone else going to hang out for sheet lessons after lunch?

If I can convince my friend to stick around for it I'll be there.

I didn't see this thread until today. Is it too late to sign up? If not, I'll try to come and bring a few friends with me.

Not too late at all! Let me know a restaurant count when you can, please.

I'm going to pull together the recommended list of supplies, the schedule, addresses, etc all in one place in the next couple days. It's all here, but dotted throughout.

As a matter of fact, everyone please let me know your restaurant count (definite, probable, maybe) so I can call Mercado Juarez with it this week.

We really had a great time being able to sit down and chat with each other last time and I'm looking forward to it again.
