Myself and the two boys for Mercado. Can't speak for any guests that show up (perhaps 4, probably less).

Looking forward to a good time. Wife wanted to go as well, but has to work that day. This is my payback for having spent last Saturday with her at Hobby Lobby, Joann's Fabrics and Hancock Fabrics, followed by me completely reupholstering all six dining room chairs. Scored lots of hubby points with those efforts!!! :biggrinjester:

What time do we show up at the range?

This is what I proposed, but no one has discussed it yet so I'm open to changing it to meet our needs. The range opens at 9 and gets busy quickly.

9-9:30 Arrive, introduce ourselves, get set-up (a little more formal than last time)
9:30-10:30 Help others (new shooters, holsters, try out others' guns, whatever is arranged in advance)
10:30-10:45 or 11 Transition time. Snack. Talk. Show off cool stuff to the group.
10:45/11-11:30 Shoot our own weapons
11:30-12:00 Take down, clean up, get to restaurant
12-1/1:30 Eat and chat

Last time, the difficulties I remembered were:
-Some people finishing early and not having ammo and not wanting to wait around for hours to go to lunch
-Some people helping others so much that they didn't have time for themselves and thus running late
-Not enough interaction and knowing who was who and what they had at the range

I was hoping a schedule would help to minimize those difficulties and to let everyone be on the same page and know what to expect before arriving.

What should we expect with regards to range fees? Will a single $15 range pass grant me access to both pistol and rifle bays? (I assume we'll be at the paper target bays.)

No, it won't. However, the ROs will let you shoot in both a pistol bay and the tactical bay if you purchase a tactical bay admission. But generally, at least from my experience, access to the 100 yard rifle range is not the same. I asked once at the range office, and I was told that admission to one area does not grant you admission to another area. However, the deal with the tactical bay and handgun bay seems to be what is actually practiced, as opposed to what the range rules say. But, if you want to shoot an iron sighted AR15, the tactical bay is fine.

In fact, when you pay, they will issue you a B27 target for either the handgun or tactical bays; but they issue a completely different type of target for the 100 yard rifle range; and they do not allow the use of B27 targets on the rifle range at all. They were pretty emphatic about that last point.

Is this to the restaurant? Range? Or both?

Both, I'll try and get more definite answers for the the last two over the next couple days.

On another note, can anyone bring a Kel-Tec PF9 that I can try out?

I thought I was coming alone. Oops! Looks like me plus 1 for the range and lunch.
Big thanks for coordinating this.
