question from a felon

Oh, I thought these were scenarios as originally posted.

in scenario #1 i asked if i could arm a felon to help me protect my house.
in scenario #2 i asked if i could arm a felon to protect my house without me being there

sorry i wasnt clear about my question
but just wondering what was the legality on both of those scenarios
