Anyway, so he's impersonating a concealed WEAPONS Permit holder when he is only a concealed HANDGUN Licensee? That's deceptive and not honest if he has no permit to carry brass knuckles etc like in Florida where they issue "weapons" permits.
I think that's rather clever. I don't think he is trying to be a "wannabe", but of course I can't say for sure as I've never met the guy.

As long as he doesn't wear any kind of uniform or put lights on it, I think his head's in the right place.

I don't see people waving or giving thumbs up to regular motorcycle police.

I don't when I'm in my cage, but I do whenever I'm riding my bike. Most of the time they also wave back.

The badge is useless without the sash and then you still must know the latest secret handshake and password! :anamatedbanana

Motorcycle cops freak me out. They have this uncanny skill of driving their bike, and looking at everything on your windshield at the same time. I can't tell you how many non-moving violations I have gotten for expired registration or safety inspection stickers. I have learned my lesson about this because there is nothing worse than seeing that sudden jerk of their head as they give you the second look which means you will soon being seeing flashing lights in your rearview mirror.

Seriously Gig,

If you saw someone with a CHL badge and you were on duty what would you do? Do police departments have procedures for this?
Laugh at them.

Or start quoting spaceballs but swap Schwartz for badge.

It's not just motorcycle cops. My daughter, who drives a patrol car, has an uncanny knack of spotting expired tags in a crowded field of cars at an intersection. She doesn't like to issue speeding tickets, but if she sees a tag more than 30 days out of expiration, you WILL have a conversation with her :rules:

Wow - again? Really? The market for this bit of stupidity is the small segment of people that have a gun and somehow managed to get a concealed license and they have some really messed up mindset that they are cops - or that when they find themselves in an incident, and I say "when" because in my view I think they are seeking a shootout, they will whip out the badge/sash/tiara and proclaim "it's OK - I have a license!". Pure stupidity!! Whoops, like this topic I keep repeating myself!!

You already have a concealed carry badge (if your licensed). It's in your wallet. Why would anyone ever want more?!

Yup. Maybe we should take this into account the next time there's a discussion on making the test easier or decreasing the requirements. Now, constitutional carry might solve this since the badge would become meaningless. Well, more than it already is.

I prefer my Concealed Carry Neon Flashing sign. Its a bit heavy but effective.
