Carrying While Traveling

To travel from Texas to Kansas, all three states (TX, OK, and KS) all of course have reciprocity of the Texas CHL. My question is this. Is it legal to conceal carry on my person while driving to Kansas? The information pertaining to the federal statute of transporting firearms is what is confusing me in regards to my question.

OK and KS both honor TX permits.. so.. you should not have any issues with the state or local LEO's.. (**IANAL)

IF by chance you get stopped by a FED in a OK or KS school zone, there's a chance (however remote) that they could give you trouble.... See PDF link in the quoted text below.

Although the Federal GFSZA does provide an exception for an individual licensed to carry a firearm, this exception only applies in the State that physically issued the permit. Forty-eight (48) States have provisions to issue concealed carry permits to citizens. Most of these States also enter into reciprocity agreements with other States where each State agrees to recognize the other's concealed carry permits, just as they recognize an out-of-state driver's license. Because the Federal GFSZA requires the permit be issued by the State in which the school zone is in, it is effectively impossible for a permit holder to travel outside their State of issuance to a reciprocating State without violating the Federal GFSZA. Also... If you're traveling out of state, you should read the laws for each state...
"Prohibited places" differ from state to state, as do self defense laws..

I have been all over the United States of America in my motorhome with at least on gun on board. Of course I must admit we have never had any problems with the BG's but we are ready.
