I have used Snopes to check whether e-mail stats. are true, but I have
found http://www.truthorfiction.com/ to be good also.

As far as the Gov. taking away our guns here in the U.S. that will never
happen. Citizens own too many guns and we won't let that happen.
Will We ?

It will surely be a ugly scenario if ever the feds try to disarm the citizenry. The country was founded on the 2nd Amendment Right.

They've managed to do it in some states. We can't let our guard down just b/c we write the NRA a check.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I have always wonders if the anti's who argue the Second is not about a personal right remember what touched off the first battle for our freedom. There were a lot of causes of the Revolution, but, IIRC, the first actual battle was fought over the British trying to confiscate the arms of the citizens in Lexington and Concord. That would indicate to me that this country was founded on the right of the people (individuals) to keep and bear arms.

Interesting that you should bring this up. This is what I remember as being some of the first armed battles as well. One of the others was the Boston Massacre, in which there was some dispute about how "armed" the Bostonians were (they had snowballs & firewood, I believe). At any rate, a significant part of what was happening at the time was the British crown's attempts to disarm us to prevent armed uprisings.

US constitution is unque. The founding fathers were students of history and they knew it was an unprecedented opportunity for them to get it into writing. They knew from past histories that governments no matter what form will always turn tyrant, its the governing people turning against its own citizenry instead of serving. Whats the motivating factor, money, greed and power all sum up in one. The only way to fight is people should be armed to counter such power.

:iagree:
And they do it by pennies, nickels and dimes... they won't take away all your weapons at once, as they surely know they'll fail. Instead, they take away the "assault rifles", followed by the "terrorist-looking" black guns, followed by semi-automatics, followed by pump-actions, followed by...

And to any that don't get the picture, they've ALREADY STARTED! Look at California, New York and Washington D.C. to name just a few. They won't even try to do it "across the board" in many cases, instead rotting away particularly "anti" locals such as San Francisco or Chicago. As far as I'm concerned, I don't need any stinking tin-foil hat to see what's already in front of my face.
