Pictures of OWB carry.
I read all the time about guys/gals OWB a 1911 or a Glock and I just can't see how that is possible in the summer. I carry a G27 in a iwb desantis holster everyday and my P238 in a softuck when I need to tuck in my shirt. I'd love to OWB carry and would like to see some pics or tips from those that do!!
Many thanks!!

It's all about using the right holster. I don't have pics to show (concealed is concealed ) but I carry a Glock on the belt under a regular T-shirt with no problem.
The secret is getting a holster that rides "High and tight". Whether carrying a 1911 or a Glock, I have always used a Galco Concealable Belt Holster.

No pics, but if I carry OWB it's with my Astros jersey as a cover. So not the greatest in the summer as they are heavy and hot.

OWB and big 5"-6" 1911. You need a jacket. 100% concealed.

I have two of those Galcos for my 3" and 5" 1911s. Both are black leatherUSA1 wrote:It's all about using the right holster. I don't have pics to show (concealed is concealed ) but I carry a Glock on the belt under a regular T-shirt with no problem.

I've also had good results with the Desantis Speed Scabbard, which is what I carry my full sized M&P45 in. The M&P45 full sized is a big gun, and this holster carries it high and tight. Plus, with three slots the cant can be changed.
I have two other OWB holsters from Mitch Rosen called Belt Slides for my PM9 and CW45 Kahrs. One is the reddish brown shown, and the other is black.
The last of my OWBs is a Fist #10 Shortcut for my M&P340 .357 snubbie.
I'll try to post pictures tomorrow of the guns in the holsters.

Here's my full size Colt in a Tucker HF1. This solid light shirt is very non-optimal, but shows what can be done. I've worn this holster with some darker patterned shirts with no issues.

I carry either a Colt Commander or a Colt Officers model 1911 in a El Paso Saddlery Sky Six. I do wear a nicely patterned Hawaiian shirt(untucked) over a tshirt

I use a Tagua holster. $29.95. It's inside or outside. I threw the metal clip away and just slide my belt through the slots. I carry my P238 in it and it disappears under just about everything. You can see it at http://www.taguagunleather.com/new/insi ... lsters-p27" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Here's a pic:
If I'm not wearing an untucked shirt, I use a nylon pocket holster sort of like this one:

Don't have pics but you might take a look at the Glock Sport/Combat. It is expensive and rides real high and tight. I sometimes use it when carrying my G27 and G36. It is kydex but for 15 bucks or so it works real good and like Glock it is not made cheap and will last.

Re: Pictures of OWB carry.
I'm still curious about the ability to get things out of your pockets, such as keys, wallets etc. without exposing the lower portion of the holster. Do you use your off side pockets for such items?
Re: Pictures of OWB carry.
Quite often I carry in my right front pocket and put that stuff in my left front pocket. I have several pair of Cargo shorts giving many more options for keys, etc. The Nano is completely concealed in any pants I wear but I still want a comfortable OWB.

Keep in mind that the holster is only a part of the solution. You must have a good "gun" belt that will hold it close to body.
