All kidding aside, there are lots of options for concealed carry, even at Schlitterbahn. Divers regularly use dry bags to protect all types stuff; phones, cameras, documents, etc. Gun in bag, roll it up, put in fanny pack. Or eliminate the bag and go to a waterproof fanny pack/bum bag. http://www.overboardusa.com/waterproof-waist-packs.html Very nice in small boats or as a way to carry when bareboating in international waters.
I've been to Schlitterbahn several times and never made it into the water. Whether accompanying family and/or friends and being voted the one that secures misc. personal items or just not wanting to deal with large numbers of uncouth/ill bred/unsupervised youth, finding a nice spot to settle down and observe the antics of all and sundry as they enjoy their leisure time is not "creeper activity".

Can we agree that there are only three amusement parks in Texas, according to the definition in Texas Penal Code 46.035? Those are Six Flags in San Antonio and Dallas, and Sea World in San Antonio.

From what I have heard, all have 30.06 postings, metal detectors, personal searches, and other fun features of a police state in a communist country. That said, my wife and I did go to Sea World once, in 2005. The company that I worked for at the time arranged a private visit for employees who had won awards, and we were treated like guests, not suspects.

The key element of the definition of amusement park that most other places fail to meet is the population of the county:

(1) "Amusement park" means a permanent indoor or outdoor facility or park where amusement rides are available for use by the public that is located in a county with a population of more than one million, encompasses at least 75 acres in surface area, is enclosed with access only through controlled entries, is open for operation more than 120 days in each calendar year, and has security guards on the premises at all times.

Schlitterbahn probably fails several other of these tests, such as what "rides" are, 75 acres, and being open 120 days a year.

Given that anything can happen anywhere, all the major tourist attractions in Galveston County have been remarkably free of random crime other than drunk driving and vehicle burglary. The tourists who experience mishaps generally are doing something imprudent like having a discussion with drunks in a biker bar, trying to buy illegal narcotics, or looking for an ATM after midnight.

PC §46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE HOLDER. (a) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder carries a h andgun on or about the license holder's person under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, and intentionally fails to conceal the handgun.
(b) A license holder commits an of fense if the license holder intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries a handgun under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, regardless of whether the handgun is concealed, on or about the license holder's person:
(4) on the premises of a hospital licensed under Chapter 241, Health and Safety Code, or on the premises of a nursing home licensed under Chapter 242, Health and Safety Code, unless the license holder has written authorization of the hospital or nursing home administration, as appropriate;
(5) in an amusement park; or
(6) on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established
(i) Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06.
