Funny sign in a liquor store

#1

Post by Velocity »

Saw this sign at a liquor store earlier this week.

[Sorry for the poor picture quality - used my cellphone camera]

Now, I know the law (or, at least I think I do) - without a 51% on-premise consumption sign (which would be inappropriate for a liquor store), or a 30.06, CCW in a liquor store is perfectly legal in Texas.

Does this sign preceed the CCW laws? If not, assume it does not apply to CCW holders?

I believe this was the first time I'd seen this sign anywhere, so sort of did a doubletake when I read it closer.

My wife says my dirty look can stop traffic...

I apologize if that caused any backup or delays a couple weeks ago...For anyone heading north because of some weather thing or something...

Just so you know, I'm archiving this thread. I am holding you personally responsible for "the little traffic problem" we had a couple of weeks ago. Oh yea, I'm passing the word also. You are going to have alot of people upset with you.

Thats the old sign before the CHL law went into effect. T

he new signs state that the unlicensed possession of a weapon......

If you report the location to the TABC they will be sure the store gets in compliance with their signs.

Thanks - that's what I suspected... That makes two around my house I've got to report - the other has both the "unlicensed possession" sign AND the "51% on-premise consumption".
