I carry IWB during working hours, but when I get home and change into jeans my G19 usually goes into a "Beltster" holster with an untucked T-Shirt. I live on a busy corner lot, with a surprising amount of foot traffic from neighborhood teens. I know the G19 prints and often is exposed while I'm doing yard work...but I really doubt if anyone notices. I'm not into open carry at all, but on my own property I don't worry about an occasional flash. I also don't worry about whether my permit is on my person or in the house.

Would a police officer that lives in a similar situation, carry openly on their person while doing yard work??? I'm sure some do, and some do not...
Someone on another forum said very few LEOs carry off-duty, particularly on the big-city forces. I found that a bit hard to believe.

Some forces require off-duty officers to carry at all times.

I've never known a police officer that didn't.
