I'm confused on how a person who's under the age, gets convicted for DUI, fails to disclose that info on his application, is a handed a CHL? No way that should have went through. Just my opinion.

Becasuse DUI is a class C misdemeanor if they have ANY detectable level of alcohol in their system. DWI is charged to them IF they are impaired or are .08 or above, then it is a class B. Class C misdemeanors don't have to be disclosed.rockinar wrote:I'm confused on how a person who's under the age, gets convicted for DUI, fails to disclose that info on his application, is a handed a CHL? That is what I thought. That class c misdemeanors didn't have to be disclosed but I guess now that was a misunderstanding.Keith B wrote:Becasuse DUI is a class C misdemeanor if they have ANY detectable level of alcohol in their system. Actually, you must list all arrests. A DUI is a different critter. Class C misdemeanors are normally not an arrest. They may or may not 'arrest' you (fingerprint, photograph and bond out) for some class C's, such as DUI. The officer may only issue a citation and let your parents or another who has not been partaking drive you on home. My guess is the technician who was processing the paperwork may not really been clear on the DUI/DWI in this case, so they requested a disposition to make sure it was a Class C and the applicant was eligible for the CHL. We tell our students 'if you were photographed and fingerprinted for the issue, then you need to list it'.Jweaver wrote:That is what I thought.
