And they lie about where the splash zone ends, too!

When I was there in '92, I got wet five rows above the splash zone.

I work down there driving the minature train through Brakenridge Park. The SA Zoo is not owned by the city. It is owned and run by a non-profit. I don't recall seeing any postings about guns at the zoo, but don't quote me on that!

Mactex, thanks for the info. That was helpful...especially for your first post! Welcome!!

If you happen to be near the entrance in the near future and wouldn't mind checking then I'd appreciate it.

Welcome aboard mactec. Glad to have you. Consider posting an intro in the General Gun Section under Introduce Yourself. You will get a lot of welcomes there.

I'll take a good look when I'm working on Sunday.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I think i remember reading a thread somewhere about the zoo and that there was a sign "after" you walk in and have paid, or something like that.

If i find the thread ill post.

You maybe be thinking of the Ft. Worth Zoo. They have their sign posted INSIDE the entrance.

All righty then. I spent some time looking around the entrance to the SA zoo and just inside the entrace and they do not have any notices posted.

The last time I was at Sea World (2-3 years ago) it was posted.

The S.A. zoo is probably owned by the city and unenforceable even if posted. I have no idea if it is posted or not. The Fort Worth Zoo was posted every time I've been there, but is also unenforceable and I've carried every time I've been there.

I have been to the zoo and cannot recall if it was posted. I do remember that when we visited it was the hottest place on this green earth. No breeze, humid. The grandkids were glad to leave, so was grandpa.

I was just at the SA Zoo this past week. I did not notice any 30.06 sign anywhere near the entrance or ticketing counter, so if there was one, it wasn't conspicuously posted. As others have posted, it's probably city owned and unenforceable.

We took a family trip to Sea World on mother's day weekend. 30.06 signs next to the ticket windows and a less than thorough bag search as you enter. And the splash zone in shamu stadium is like getting dunked in very cold water several times. Not much better several rows behind the splash zone either.
