I hesitated to answer because of the way it may sound but after getting hit in the chest with a 45 HYDRA-SHOK, if he finishes the draw he probably won’t be too accurate, especially since two or three will follow in quick succession.

I hope I never have to fire on anyone but if I do, I have no intention of letting him get a shot off at me.

I have seen (among other things) a very big man, very dead, from one shot with a 22.
God Bless America, and please hurry.

If I have offended anyone, I apologize but I feel that sometimes a little reality can be helpful.

I don't think anyone was offended; just surprised that you are willing to bet your life on your ability to outdraw any BG that you may face.

Please allow me to explain (no bragging intended).

Practice, practice, practice.

I wear a shoulder holster with my Kimber under a denim vest. I often put snap caps in my guns and practice drawing facing a bed in case I drop it. I can let go of my cane, draw my Kimber (right handed) and drop the hammer before the cane hits the floor.

I carry a Berretta 32 in a pocket holster in my left front pocket as I use the cane in my right hand. I can put my left hand in my pocket if I sense a possible threat, have the gun in my hand and no one ever knows. I can draw and fire the 32 in less than a heartbeat.

I shoot the Kimber right handed and only shoot the 32 left handed. When I shoot the Kimber, I aim with my right eye and when I shoot the Berretta I aim with my left eye. Of course within 20 feet I point and shoot.

I am crippled. I cannot run and I cannot fight. I can only hope that if someone tries to pull a weapon on me, looking down the barrel of a 45 might change their mind. :eek6 At one time I was an LEO. I know what can happen on the street and how fast.

I am crippled but I do intend to protect my wife (43 years) and myself.
God Bless America, and please hurry.
