When I took my CHL class the instructor took great pains to say many times that
CHL's don't get tickets. Like it was some sort of Get Out Of Jail Free Card.
You mean I was lied to?
I would not expect to not get a ticket if I deserved one just because of my CHL and I would not expect and officer to expect free goods or services from any business just because of his uniform.

Same. I have gotten tickets (just like I did before I got my CHL) on stops. That being said, the officers have been nothing but courteous regarding the fact I was carrying. My favorite line was from a DPS trooper who pulled me over. He told me "Don't show me yours and I won't have to show you mine".
